ON World recently projected a 500% increase in the adoption of mobile sensing health and fitness products in the next five years. Bluetooth Smart will be central to this growth with fast connections, low costs and power consumption, and interoperability. The use of Bluetooth Smart is already rapid, with a ten-fold increase in the number of certified products in the last year. ON World projects that nearly 60% of health sensing and fitness products will incorporate Bluetooth Smart.
